We spent Friday through Monday in York visiting with Noble City Church. These were all people we had never met before, but we felt so welcomed. We really enjoyed getting to know people, being apart of their church meetings, and seeing the city. While York is a relatively small city, it definitely has an urban feel. We continue to have lots to think and pray about.

PA visiting
I apologize for my lack of posting. We didn’t have cell service for several days last week and then I tried to post over the weekend but it didn’t upload. So I’ll do a couple of posts here in the next few days and try to catch you all up on our journey.
We’ve been having a great time in Pennsylvania! We did a 3(ish) day, 2 night backpacking trip in Moshannon State Forest. It rained A LOT. Most of the trip actually. Our spirits were discouraged for a while, but by the end of the trip we were happy to be where we were (out in nature with just the essentials). Then we spent one night at R.B. Winter State Park (Central PA) and found that to be very beautiful! The cooler fall temps have been welcome and we have definitely welcomed the beauty of PA into our lives.

On to Pennsylvania!
It’s been a lovely 2+ weeks here in Ohio. We are grateful for the time to rest, for the hospitality of several households, and for time with family. Tomorrow we leave Ohio and head to Pennsylvania for the week. We will spend a few days backpacking and camping. By the weekend we plan to be in the eastern part of the state for a church visit. It’s always sad saying goodbye to family, but we’re also excited to hit the road again. For now, I’ll leave you with a picture from this past weekend as we celebrated Melena (my oldest sister) and Bret’s wedding with a nice outdoor reception.

The Journey Begins
A little back story...
On July 25th we moved out of our apartment. For the last several weeks we have stayed with friends while Cameron has worked long days to fulfill some work commitments. To say it's been a busy summer would be an understatement. But we have loved our time with people. Shared meals. Church meetings. Bike rides. Backpacking trips. Disc golf. Game nights. We have felt so loved in our finals weeks and days as residents here in central Iowa.
Now after our ever busy summer, we're off on a brand new adventure. We're excited. Exhausted. So very grateful for so many things. Exhausted. Eager. Did I mention we're exhausted?!
Wednesday, September 1, we left on a what may be a months' long (yes, months plural) journey in search of a new place to settle down. Our main goal: to bridge the rather lengthy distance between our families. We have specific places we want to visit (and church connections as our base for those locations- it's not that we're picking random places in the eastern U.S.).
So I'll invite you to join us on this journey... I don't know how often I'll post or how long it will be before we land somewhere.
Where did we head first? Canton, Ohio. Here we put our earthly belongings in a storage unit and will spend 2-3 weeks in the area. Expect nephew photos. Don't expect to hear too much more from us - we plan to rest, rejuvenate, and spend time with our Ohio people.
